Songs (web panel)

From Songs in the web panel you manage your organization’s full catalog. Everything you edit here syncs automatically to the desktop app and to mobile.

The song list is shown as a table with:

  • Title
  • Author
  • Favorite tag (star)
  • Last modified
  • Who modified it

You can:

  • Search by title, author, or a lyrics snippet (search bar at the top).
  • Sort by any column.
  • Filter by favorites, by creator, by tag.
  • Paginate — 25 songs per page by default, up to 100.

The + New song button in the top right. You have two ways:

LRCLIB is a public database of song lyrics. The web panel lets you search it without leaving the app:

  1. Import online tab.
  2. Type a title and/or artist.
  3. Results appear live.
  4. Click on the result → the lyrics drop into the editor with their sections.
  5. Adjust title and author, save.
  1. Create manually tab.
  2. Fill in title and author.
  3. Paste the lyrics into the text box.
  4. The app splits by double line break — each block is a slide.
  5. Tag each block (Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge, etc.).
  6. Save.

Click on the song in the table to open the editor. You’ll be able to:

  • Modify the title and author.
  • Rewrite any section.
  • Reorder sections by dragging them.
  • Duplicate a section (useful for repeated choruses).
  • Add or remove sections.

Changes are saved when you click Save or automatically when you move focus out of the field (auto-save).

Click the star icon to mark/unmark. Favorites appear first in the desktop app and on mobile, and can be filtered in the web panel.

Each song has a comments panel at the bottom. Useful for:

  • Noting lyric variations (“in chorus 2 we only sing the first part”).
  • Suggesting changes without touching the original lyrics.
  • Coordinating with the team (@name notifies that person).

Comments sync in real time with the rest of the team.

For now there’s no bulk import (CSV, JSON, folder of files). Songs are created one by one.

If you have lyrics in files:

  • If they’re in LRCLIB, the online search is the fastest path — it imports with sections already split.
  • If they aren’t, copy/paste in “Create manually” mode is the most practical. The app splits sections by double line break, so if your file already has that structure, the format is preserved.

Click the song menu () → Delete. It asks for confirmation.

The web panel editor has some advantages:

  • More screen space — editing long lyrics is more comfortable.
  • Comments and collaboration in real time.
  • History view — who edited what and when.

The desktop app has advantages for the day of the service:

  • Double-click projects directly without going through a program.
  • Faster search thanks to the local database.
  • Works offline.

Once you have songs loaded, build the service order from Programs or group them into Setlists for rehearsals.
