Download and install

The desktop app is what you use during the service to project. It’s available for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows.

Go to efaprojection.com and click Download. The site detects your operating system and offers the right installer. If you need a different one, pick it manually from the downloads section.

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag EFA Projection to the Applications folder.
  3. Double-click to open it. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it directly without “unverified developer” warnings.
  1. Run the downloaded .exe file.
  2. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning the first time — click More infoRun anyway.
  3. Follow the installation wizard.

Once installed, the app checks for a new version every time you open it. When one is available, you’ll see a banner in the top-right corner:

New version X.Y.Z available. [Later] [Install and restart]

  • Install and restart downloads the update in the background and, when finished, closes the app and reopens it on the new version. All your local information (songs, programs, downloaded media) is preserved.
  • Later hides the banner until the next launch.

You don’t have to download the .dmg or .exe again every time a new version is released — the app stays up to date on its own.

Once open, the app asks you to sign in. If you don’t have an account yet, move on to Create an account.
