Desktop app

The desktop app is the one that connects to the projector and displays the content during your service. It runs on macOS and Windows and works offline-first — all your information is stored locally and syncs with the server when you have internet.

If you haven’t installed it yet, head over to Download and install.

The main window is divided into three areas, from left to right:

AreaWhat it’s for
Left sidebarLibrary of songs, Bible, media, presentations, and themes. Double-click any item to add it to the program.
Center panelThe service program — the ordered list of songs, verses, presentations, and media to project.
Right previewPreview of the current slide with the active theme, plus the projection window controls.

In addition to the main window, the app opens a secondary window that you send to the projector’s monitor. That’s the one the audience sees. See the details in Projection window.

The app has a focused set of live shortcuts:

  • Next / previous slide — arrow keys
  • Black screenEsc
  • Grid viewCmd/Ctrl + G

Everything else (New program, Save, Bible mode) happens from the top menu of the app. Full list at Shortcuts.

When you edit something from the desktop app, the changes upload to the server automatically when you’re online. The same goes the other way: if a teammate edits a song from the web panel, the update shows up on your desktop. Full details in Sync.

The app checks for a new version on startup and offers you Install and restart with a banner when one shows up. More detail in Download and install → Automatic updates.
